He's quite a self hater. He associates himself with western musicians. And he disgraced his own culture by saying that he envies japanese culture. And when asked a tricky question, his answers were mainly "Because it sounds cool".
Surprisingly his music is very very good. Reminds me of the Lemonheads. Hate the interview, LOVE the music!!
sama aku juga.menurutku interviewnya kurang oke.... nggak puguh, hihihi.... tapi musiknya kok bagus banget.
Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for the comments. I appreciate it.
Have to agree about my quality of answers on the intv. I suppose I was self conscious about my lack of english-ability, which I haven't actively used in years. Blame Jason for intimidating me with his flair! Har har. I still think "Because it sounds cool" is a good indie rock answer. Har har again. Would have to hear it again, and see which questions I aswered with that to see what R.T meant with "tricky" questions, though.
I have to disagree on one point though; I don't think I've disgraced my own culture by complimenting Japanese culture. I see no correlation between admiring certain cultures and digracing one's own culture. I'm far from a nationalist, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to knock Indonesia off in a band interview. It's done a good job of proving it itself without my help.
I must end by saying, I love Lemonheads' "Hate your Friends" and "Lick".
Cheers'
Mrcl
