We have been flooded with requests to play more Jazz from Indonesia so we interviewed Berklee College of Music-educated Ricky Leonardi, the producer of "Jazz Masa Kini" about this 2006 release. Bamboo is one of the most prolific grasses known to man. You can build houses from it, make paper, provide a nice meal for panda bears, and you can use it as a musical instrument. The one band who has made bamboo music into an art form is Bandung-based Sambasunda.
