This collection of 11 bands was put together as a tribute to Yogyyakarta, the city in central Java known as Yogya (or by its old spelling Djokdja). The album, the first put out by Yogya-based Redrocket Records, reflects the diversity of music coming from this ancient city of Javanese royalty and tradition. Punk, funk, nu-metal, retro-pop and a range of other sounds capture the creativity coming out of this city packed with university students and a vibrant underground scene. The original compilation, released only on cassette in 2004, has now been remixed and updated with a bonus track that you will only find on iTunes.
