After an absence of three years the band once known as Funky Kopral is back but with two new members and an equally funky sound. The band’s new incarnation as FUNKOP was precipitated by the departure of their bassist Bondan, an original member and driving force behind the band, but the other members didn’t want to give up just yet. They were determined to stay the course and stay true to the spirit of their party music. After a slight change to their name to reflect the new formation the foursome released their first effort in 2006. “Lembaran Baru (New Page)” marks a new chapter but turning the page for this band did not mean turning off the energy. The foursome continues to make the “pop fusion” that earned it a loyal teen following and will certainly attract many more to their brand of fun.
