"Akhirnya..." is the first solo release of this Indonesian singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Banten, Rita has over the course of the last six years traveled the length and width of Indonesia and other parts of Asia and the Middle East. During her travels she has sung in small town bars and big city clubs and also toured with multi-platinum selling Cokelat. This 2006 release is the beginning of a new chapter in her singing career and a collaborative work that took shape on the beautiful beaches of Bali in early 2005. Primarily an acoustic album with touches of electric sounds, the 12 songs combine the best aspects of Indonesian and Western pop music in a way that will appeal to more than the Indonesian listener. Tracks range from jazzy pop numbers and sweet, melodic ballads to worldly bossanova beats and straight-out rock standards. With such a diversity of influences, the singer creates a sound which is timeless, inspired and very much her own.
