This project combines two guitarists from two different generations. Denny Chasmala, who also produced the double-cd, got his start in the pop world supporting acts like Dewa 19. He later found inspiration in jazz, thus describing this 2006 release as a collection of “inspirational jazz” meant to help the listener relax and reflect. Soegeng, his elder, may be best known as a keen observer of politics but his talent as a guitarist may one day be as important as his contribution to understanding the Indonesian political landscape. While the two work with such guitar luminaries as Balwan and Dewa Budjana, their chemistry together stands out as a testament to how much the young and old have to learn from one another.
