TIKA is the granddaughter and niece of Indonesia's renowned sopranos, Pranawengrum Katamsi and Aning Katamsi, and her family always hoped that she would be the next soprano singer of her generation. But strict vocal training was never her thing and she quit before long. Her journey in the music world has had ups and downs, and early on even caused her to abandon music entirely. It wasn't until early 2004 when one night she sat down and made a list of things she wanted to do before dying. At the top of her list was a solo album.
In 2005, TIKA started her debut solo album project, entitled "Frozen Love Songs". The combination of a strong yet silky smooth voice, dark lyrics and music with a jazzy tone makes this album powerful and unforgettable.
